Haven
Haven is a "sister" organization, co-founded by Bishop and by John and Maggie Garrett (from Touching Evil). A civilian offshoot of the SCU, Haven is less bound by the rules and regulations governing the SCU, and usually operates without law enforcement oversight or government interference. Haven operatives often possess psychic abilities even more unusual than those of the SCU team, and tend to be less disciplined and more independent than the SCU, but no less dedicated to the work they all do. Most Haven operatives are licensed private investigators and are trained in self-defense and the use of firearms.
Haven can and does operate independently of the SCU, hired by individuals or organizations to investigate various problems and situations. But Haven also supplies operatives for joint investigations with law enforcement agencies, and often teams-up with the SCU.

John Garrett
A big man, broad-shouldered and athletic, with dark hair and the level gaze of someone accustomed to command. Extremely successful in the world of business at a young age, he built a financial empire only to grow bored and restless at the lack of surprise and challenge in his world. That changed when he met Maggie Barnes.
Job: Co-founder and Co-Director of Haven.
Adept: no. He possesses no psychic abilities.

Maggie Barnes Garrett
Tall and very slender, with thick, curling dark red hair she wears long. Very light brown eyes, the only unusual feature in a face that is pleasant but unremarkable. But stamped into those unremarkable features is an empathy and compassion as powerful as it is rare.
Job: Co-founder and Co-Director of Haven.
Adept: empath, healer. So deeply empathetic, she’s able to tap into the emotions and sensations left behind at the scene of horrific crimes, literally to the point of experiencing the pain and injuries of the victim. She’s able to heal physical injuries but, even more, is capable of accelerating the emotional and psychological healing process of victims by taking on some of their pain – something she was able to do for Hollis Templeton.

Dani Justice
Average height, slender, shoulder-length burnished copper hair.
Job: Investigator.
Adept: dream-walking, mildly clairvoyant, precognitive. Dani is able to “pull” other people into her dreams, sharing that experience with them. She doesn’t consider herself a seer, since her precognitive ability is active only in her dreams and shows her future events only concerning people with whom she has a connection. Her abilities are stronger when she teams up with her sister; it’s a twin thing, like the easy mental and emotional link they share.

Paris Justice Kincaid
Average height, a bit too thin, burnished copper hair worn short.
Job: Investigator.
Adept: affects electrical fields in a mild way, an ability that strengthens when she teams up with her twin. Is telepathic only with Dani.

Gabriel Wolf
Tall, lean, athletic. He has rather shaggy pale blond hair, and shares with his twin sister bright green eyes that appear iridescent.
Job: Investigator.
Adept: telepathic and telekinetic – but only with his sister, and only when one of them is asleep.

Roxanne Wolf
Tall, slender, athletic. She has pale blond hair cut shorter than her brother’s, and the same iridescent green eyes.
Job: Investigator.
Adept: telepathic and telekinetic – but only with her brother, and only when one of them is asleep, a fact that limits their effectiveness. When both are awake, neither is or “reads” as psychic.

Sarah Warren
Medium height, slender, brunette.
Job: Investigator.
Adept: clairvoyant, telepathic, doesn’t “read” as psychic.

Tessa Gray
Tall, slender, blond hair, gray eyes. Appears very vulnerable, fragile, almost childlike.
Job: Investigator.
Adept: clairvoyant, does not “read” as psychic but is able to sense most other psychics.
