An Important Note from Kay

On the subject of plagiarism and copyright infringement:

Some of you may be aware that a writer in the romance community has recently been accused of plagiarism, accused of copying, verbatim, whole chunks of "research materials" into her novels. I am not personally involved in the situation, but like all professional writers I believe that protecting our work, our intellectual property, is paramount, and for that reason it's important to me that I make my own feelings on the subject crystal clear.

Plagiarism is wrong. Copying the work of another writer and calling it your own is not, under any circumstances, acceptable. It is theft, pure and simple, and there is no excuse for it.
